Whenever I heard these doomsayers talk, they always talk about losing leadership after losing so many vets BUT this goes to show that we will be fine, Beason is a true and gifted leader, will he be Ray Lewis? Probably not but he learning how to get his voice heard.

On offense, I truly believe that Smitty is going to step up since he is the eldest of the offense.

Your are correct that Beason was a leader already. He was surrounded by alot of older veterans. It is now at another level.

I still remember when he was drafted and half of us on this board were like "Who is that guy?!"

He's been the best decision the Panthers have made in recent memory.

There has never been a question that Beason is a leader and has been since the first day he came here. He will give it his all and do everything he can to elevate the defense. Too bad we don't have 11 guys on defense with his desire and leadership. The problem is that it won't be him that needs to step it up but a bunch of other guys. Beason can't do it all by himself.
