Canales "I'd like to take the pressure off the quarterback to be a part of what the offense is doing rather than a feature of it"

What happened to Bozeman? Besides having a constant rotation of backup guards playing on either side of him all year? Or maybe he just can't click with Bryce and he's getting the blame

So that means we are looking at addressing those (at least TE and OC) via FA rather than the draft?

I know (hope/assume) we're probably looking at WR in both, but if we are looking for IOL in FA i'd have to assume that also means OC. TE would probably be a short list in both the draft and FA.

issue with Boze is still kind of interesting. he did all the work to try to make himself appealing to the FO. Not sure if he put all that work into making himself a better fit for the offense.

If there's not a connection or a faulty connection with him and the QB, probably better to replace the center. Boze is a likeable fellow, but he just might not be the anchor we are looking for or need.

I would not take any FA signing as long term fix. Every position will eventually be upgraded through the draft. Don't underestimate how lacking in talent this team really is. Unless they get extremely lucky in the draft and through cheap FA's it will be years before this team will be competitive again.

To your question, it is sort of a strawman.

I wouldn’t know how to start figuring trhat equation, and it doesn’t matter. It matters what HE is doing.

I could tell you why Not to take him within 30 minutes of video time. Less.

It is his arm and his speed and his footwork (I laughingly refer to it as footwork).

Let’s just get to the nitty gritty of Bryce. The QB. The issue. Maybe I should ask you to explain why you think he can be an All Pro or a winning QB in the NFL.

Wouldn’t that be a much better thing to see here than some guess about some QB and some WRs that don’t freaking matter?

I bet Everyone would love to see this:

your words, your points from what You have seen from this player. Positive. Not blaming others for anything. Stick to the player.

Tell us why others should listen to the Bryce stans, from a Bryce stan.

That’s what we need to see to maybe have a little hope. The hope I havce for him rises to ab out 7-10, 9-8, AT BEST. That is With all those things y'all say he needs to succeed.

So you wrote ALL of that just to not answer my question lol. My point is you guys expect him to be a miracle worker with NO HELP but you can't name me ONE qb that has done it!! So you can't say the guy isn't good until you see him with a competent team around him it's simple. Baker was straight BOOTY CHEEKS here last season then went to a team with actual NFL talent and was in the ProBowl. So did he all of a sudden get good or was he already good and needed some HELP 🤦🏾‍♂️

If that is your answer... I definitely wasted my ‘breath’.

My disappointment isn’t in him, it is in the people who are fooled by.... well I was trying to find out what they are fooled by, by asking. But you don’t have anything.

No one will say anything. They post college video and echo non critical opinions by people who were 100% in on him ands are still hanging on to that.

All you have is excuses, blame diverted, etc.... n no concrete example of why Young is ..... good.

Too bad about Bozeman. That family was a Panthers for life possibility. I took a newborn and the rough situation with the offensive “leadership” and no help on either side of him, into too much account.

I thought, or hoped, that with competence on his wings he could hold it steady this year. I think he is a Bryce casualty, they want to Overbuild the inside.

    • would love it if Vegas were Week 5 (Oct 7).  Just throwing it out there with fingers crossed
    • I believe you are correct. Everyone remembers that record setting drubbing of the Broncos but that was the highlight of their season. They have very good coaching overall and they have a ton of talent. With a better QB they could have knocked off the Chiefs IMO. We aren't even in the conversation of the Dolphins until proven otherwise. We couldn't even get in the end zone against the lowly Chicago Bears. We got shutout and blown out by the CJ Beathard led Jaguars for fugs sake. We can't even compete with bad teams let alone run up the score on them. To me if I'm being completely realistic if I'm the GM and my job is on the line and I feel like Tua is Bryce Young's ceiling I'm drafting QB in the first round next year unless he just magically has a season like Stroud did last year. That's it. I'm genuinely not trying to be abrasive about this it just gets really mind numbing eventually that we keep lowering the bar down down down down down and it's like hey it's fine to have expectations. And if you have a young QB in his prime and he isn't giving you at least prime Jake Delhomme arm talent it's time to keep looking for a QB.
    • Not exactly.  They show that Jones was making the most of the opportunities he had.  I was never a fan of his, but I think that the talent level in NE last year is somehow escaping the massive negative attention it should have received.  That team was terrible - especially the talent and coaching on offense - and everyone was still afraid of the wrath of hoodie. He'll have a chance to restart his career at some point.  He was a middle of the pack QB as a rookie.  Plenty of teams out there would love to make it up to middle of the pack at QB.
