Yeah I caught a Jarvis interview by those clowns on spitting chicklets and Jarvis and Guentzel apparently joke with each other a lot on whose taking a hometown discount and they both want 8 year deals....

Guentzel also already sold his house in Pittsburgh to Bryan Rust and has been house shopping here..... it sounds like Guentzel wants to be a Cane!

Guy that works in the arena told me that Guentzel really likes it here and felt right at home from the beginning and that he lived at Rod's for a little bit after the trade.  Likes the system here and the team, gets along really well with everyone especially Aho, Jarvy, Burns, and Staalsy.

He isn't going to be cheap, but we need to sign him - he is a part we've been missing for 3-4 years.

Agreed lock him up the guy loves it here and you can tell....

It would give us a top line that can Cary the team next year might end up being a reset happy to make the playoffs year but 2026 will likely see the Canes window open up again for anther 2-4 years with Young talent like Nikishin,Marrow,FUS,Nadeau making the lineup

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
