No the fug we didn’t.  0-5 on the PP. 0-2 on the penalty kills. They beat us 2-1 on 5-5. We didn’t control poo. Take the rose colored glasses off. We got worked this game.

Pyotr is ready. Freddie is fine. Freddie does not have the mental capacity for 6 games in a row right now and Rod needs to understand that. Let Pyotr have a game and Freddie will pitch a Freddie shutout(one goal) the next game.

I don’t understand why Rod didn’t switch goalies every other game. 
If Freddie was really hot I would understand but he has struggled the entire playoffs.

The Canes played a much better game, it's highly unlikely we go 0 for special teams again.... we absolutely dominated at even strength the Rags stole one at home in the first period and we still almost made them pay.

Boston is literally the first team to ever do that.. . In NHL history. It's not hard to understand really.

A one goal road loss after the absolute crap they laid in the first....

A one goal loss when they were literally 0-special teams..... that's A MAJOR OUTLIER it's highly unlikely to happen again.

      when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying

      I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.

      I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
