This signing means blackshear is most likely gone

2 RBs likely aren’t going to be ready for camp loads.  And you can’t put too much on Hubbard who is the best RB we got going into the season.

Most of that investment is Sanders, and I doubt that mistake is repeated again with the new staff.

I mean, we also just used a second round pick and now signed Penny. That's not a tiny investment, although not an Atlanta Falcons level of investment either.

Seems like we are doubling down on some 1990'd era football. Interested to see how it works out

should of just kept this dude.  I mean, he actually can play 90s era football.

Canales had the worst rush O and ran into fewer loaded boxes than almost every team in the entire NFL

Yeah, all of this is starting to look like another episode of square pegs in round holes. That really does seem to be a Tepper staple.

It might be more about matching your scheme to your players and executing better than the opponent. Or in the Panthers’ case executing well enough to keep it a game with a much better team.

With this quarterback, the offense is going to have to be hybrid as poo. Number one, it is still best to protect young quarterbacks with a stout running game and offensive line. Number two, our young quarterback needs more help than most top overall picks. So, running game, come one down.

I don’t think just having those pieces in place mean the passing game can’t be creative, or that the run can't be more influenced by modern principles.

i still believe, with or without wilks, it was a big mistake not using what he built in half a season as a foundation.

    • If you think about.. if you really draft BPA you going to have situations where they come in behind someone.  They don’t All need to start day one.   You are probably better off letting it happen at their pace, after all the saying a loss for each rookie you start. The biggest thing is take a good player. Easier said than done, I get it, and an oversimplification… probably. But it is the name of the game.
    • Man.  It's been so long. I couldn't tell ya when I joined. Seems like eons ago.   As life, alot has come and a lot has gone.  No doubt a lot of older members a are gone.   It's true,  fan forums aren't like this place, despite it being a relic.  I definitely have cut back posting. Still visit every day.   Abd despite the disagreements, we're all Panther fans, and I'll always appreciate all of you.   Keep Pounding
    • I’ve been around this place since before this place, I have always loved it here.  We’ve had some of the best posters I’ve ever seen come and go!  I miss a lot of them, I miss the huddle tailgate at games to, those were good times.  I don’t have, nor do I want anything related to social media so this was then and is now my go to place for Panthers information, some laughs and sometimes to vent frustrations.  Hope this place never goes away and I hope one day some of the old posters that no longer frequent come back..  P.S.  I agree, bring back the lovely ladies thread, I know it’s still here just hidden!
