unnamed team is reportedly attempting to trade up to the Raiders' No. 8

You can't trade up in the first round unless you have a first round pick.

Huh? How do you figure that?

If its us then I wonder who we'd be targeting that high? The DTs are going to be gone and if we moved up that far to get one of those DEs it would be a big mistake IMO. I just don't see the rationale for the Panthers making that trade. There really isn't a player that I would want to go after right there unless they think Dez Bryant is a no-brainer "Randy Moss-esque" WR....which IDT he is.

agreed. this may be a fairly deep wr draft, but the clear cut best (bryant) is no calvin johnson/ randy moss type of receiver.

Hmmm, sounds suspicious... we have a 2nd round pick and we like trading future first round picks when we don't have one.

Speaking hypothetically, who would you take with the 8th overall pick? Using the WalterFootball.com 2010 mock draft as a template, no WR's would have been taken by the time we came up. QB's Bradford and Clausen would be gone as well as DT's McCoy and Suh. The rest of the guys already taken would be OT's and a safety.

It would have to be Dez Bryant IMO...

Think of last year when Crabtree was set to go as high as 7 before the DHB thing..and people say Bryant is was ahead of Crabtree coming out of college.
