In other words, the Panthers have greatly overdrafted guys in the first round including those that would be considered good players/hits.

Gotcha.  Draft class not overall.  I'm an idiot

It would be basically impossible to do the other way around because wAV adds up over time. You essentially would be tilting the entire scale to longevity(which is somewhat true anyway).

But, it is supposed to be a measure of career rating so that is appropriate.

For this time period yes. The difference in the Tepper and non-Tepper eras of this sample seem very stark, IMO.

I will add the caveat that the more recent picks are subject to very wide ranges of outcomes based on length and success of careers.

    • Good hit, I bet 0 bball today. I went ahead and put my parlay in for soccer tomorrow since the first game I like starts at 730. Como over shots on target is probably the biggest stretch so it may be over before I wake up lol. All the wins I feel pretty good about if you want to tail those
    • Yeah magic choked that away. Out of the group of 5 philly and Orlando are clearly trending down and Charlotte Atlanta Miami trending up. I'd expect that to be the 6-8 and I would really like to see them at least finish 7th
    • Ehh I doubt it I think he probably does want to just be a Warrior lifer and continue to contend with them and extend the dynasty/legacy there. I can absolutely see him coming here if the Warriors blow it up but I think he’s fine trying to run it back next year with a healthy Butler, etc. I think it’ll blow up in their faces and if so then he’s a UFA and could just sign here then if he wants and we’re truly contending     Magic loss was huge, a questionable out of bounds call with 4 seconds left led to a 3 pointer to win it for LA. Hawks pulled away big on the Warriors’ scrubs, no surprise. Rockets Heat is a tight one. We really need the Rockets to win it. Heat would have a tiebreaker over us but they have a hellish schedule coming up and I could see us finishing a game above them. We have tiebreaker over Hawks and Orlando. Philly TBD. 1.5 games out of 6-8 seeds as of now…
