Bryce Young faced the least pressure of any quarterback this week

That is what I told my buddy--I said "He's got time--and he still sucks."

I think he should go to IR.  I would tell him that we are going to go with Dalton or we are going to take a look at Plummer and maybe another QB from another practice squad--lets see if Canales can fix Desmond Ridder, for example.  Then I would tell him that we are drafting a QB and he can compete in the 2025 pre season.  He has less than a year to get it together.

But the OL!!!!  I mean they can block and all, but they are too tall!!!!

We signed three big dudes in the middle.  Big mistake.  These guys were available:  munchkins-the-wizard-of-oz-1939-DT6HJW.thumb.jpg.3cb85300a26f7bf13bad77ee6aab1212.jpg

I actually met the one in the middle--he was at Concord Mills--the last living Oz cast member---he was funny as hell--told me the back stories about making the movie.

The OL will eventually allow an Ole` to a pass rusher so Bryce can get a good enough slobber knocker to "allow" an IR excuse.  We should take bets on which one does it.  I'm thinking Moton.

I can tell you that it happens.  In college at practice--I saw our QB get plastered after blaming the center for a bad exchange.  The WRs (prima donnas) are the best group to signal problems in paradise.  It is very frustrating to get open and look back for the ball and the QB is dancing around looking everywhere but downfield.  Thielen showed it, I am thinking Johnson had an episode, and Mingo and Legette are not going to say anything.

I said this during the game yesterday. Fundamentally, and schematically, the offense sans the QB actually looks much better than last year.

But it's hard to do jack poo when you can't push the ball down field.

I told everyone in the ATL Riot - I'll bet them money the offense wakes up and the team becomes competitive once Dalton is inserted.

This is why it's straight up irresponsible to not bench the guy now.  Things are about to get downright bad.

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
