I will continue to watch games because I am still a fan. As you said, the butts in the seat is such an insanely small portion of the NFL profits that it isn't relevant at all to Tepper's bottom line.

But, us not showing up will at least further embarrass him. Perhaps we will get some more incidents of him being heckled in his box by all the opposing fanbases in his stadium.

And hopefully he will do something worse that will force the other owners to agree to make him sell. Very wishful thinking from me unfortunately though...

That's a LOT of drinks to spill...

For me, I'm still a fan.  I just bought a new Panthers hat on Saturday.  This has been my team long before Tepper bought it, and it will continue to be my team after he's dust.

It does suck that the team is so bad that my son is not interested in football at all.  But he's 12 so we all know his interests will change over time.  I didn't get rabid until I was 16 or so...

He won't but he is also a success driven egomaniac, so this will all hurt him.

This is the one small glimmer of hope we have is that he doesn't appear to be happy about failure.

Snyder didn't want to fail but he meddled because it "wasn't fun" if he wasn't intimately involved. Guys like Modell were notoriously cheap. Michael Jordan is the perfect example, as he was never interested in winning if it cost him a dime of this money. Jerry Jones always believes he knows best, so he will never stop meddling, despite almost all his true success being authored by a far more knowledgeable football mind.

So in that regard, perhaps we have a leg up on some of these scenarios....in theory. The question is whether he is capable of learning the NFL(doubtful), whether he is capable of eventually backing into a talented architect of a successful organization(doubtful) and maybe most importantly, if he can keep his hands off the product IF we do finally get the right building blocks in place. That last one seems highly doubtful. He amassed his fortune by doing his own thing and running it on his own. So all of his success has been defined by him being "the man." I don't see that being something easy to deprogram, especially for someone that is in his age range.

    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
    • But nobody is saying he is a good deep ball passer.  But the facts are since he's returned from his benching, he has been throwing downfield.  Whether you want to credit the scheme, Bryce himself, or whatever, he has been pushing it deep.  Not to any positive results mind you, but it has been happening.
