from any team that you may have wanted on the panthers squad???

hmm... darren mcfadden. he sucks balls, and when he was coming out in the draft, i thought he would've fit nicely with the panthers... even though i knew trading up wasn't an option. but he's been in the league for 2 years now, and hasn't even put up 500 yds in a season yet, fumbles a lot... and scouts were saying he'd be the next adrian peterson?????

I honestly never thought he had what it took. there was something about the way he ran that just turned me off...

I can't really think of anyone because I've never been really into the draft before this year, simply due to the fact that I wanted the panthers to draft a QB in the early rounds, then Matt turned into a beast, and then I just kept researching other positions of need.

This year i want taylor price and or javier arenas, so mark it down and bring it back up in a few years to see if they suck.

The year we drafted Chris Gamble I really wanted Florida tight end Ben Troupe and I was praying Troy Williamson would fall to us, thought hed be the real deal. In conclusion I am glad I am not making the calls. Oh yeah and I thought Byron Leftwich was the player to turn this franchise around was devastated he went a pick before us.

i wanted brady quinn...and i know alot of dolphin fans that wanted vernon gholston instead of jake long. thank god we took jake!

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself yet. I think he landed in the best possible place for him. I actually expect him to do well in Denver.

Put AP with the Raiders, and McFadden with the Vikings and it might be AP putting up the 500 yards a year (and he already fumbles a lot). Going to the Raiders is a death sentence no matter how much skill you may have.

Darren Mcfadden has chicken legs and he plays for the raider (you can't expect him to be good) but 1 RB that has been a bust is NE's Lawrence Maroney, he had soo much hype but yet soo much dissapointment.

    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
    • I understand that some people want WR. I am solidly against using yet another high pick there. Coker is pretty good and we used No picks on him.  What I think we really need at WR is a little bit of a Smitty lite. It is ridiculous to say let’s get a Smitty because you just can’t do that, but someone not tall and long striding but more in his mold. I think we’d have a pretty well rounded group.    Looking at tackle, with replacing Moton looming, it just seems like the no brainer.  You fill in Icky short term. Depending on how he recovers, and how the new guy plays, you go from there. A tackle at 19 is most likely either a LOT, a ROT, or a big talented guard, at worst. We will need all three in the next couple of years.  I would love to have a stud ILB be there at 19 but the OL is the responsible thing to do I believe.
