Been toying with the idea of....

I've been toying with the idea of putting together another draft guide like I used to do annually for the Huddle (for those who have been here long enough to remember them)... It's far too late for me to do one for this year's draft (I typically would start compiling information in December for it, and have the layout completed around early to mid March), so this would be something I would do for next year's draft... My question is, does anybody really give a damn or want to see another one? Before I put in 3 months of work to iron one out, I wanna make sure somebody other than me (and maybe Kurb) would actually use it...

Anybody?

It’s too bad that when the server went down in 08 they lost all of the posts, I’d like to go back and reread some of them. With the pills they have me on my memory is not what it used to be.

I've still got at least one of the old guides on an old PC somewhere... Not too long ago I went back and looked at it... I forget now who I had us drafting... Think it was Alex Barron OT that year... But I definitely didn't see us drafting Thomas Davis... But I did give him high grades if that counts... ;-) lol

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
