Read the other day Binnington may be available come TDL. St. Louis to start their rebuild sooner with their woes this season even though he's under contract.

Otherwise, these UFAs may be available: Adin Hill, Samsonov, Charlie Lindgren, Kevin Lankinin.

I've been saying for almost 2 weeks the 2nd half of November was brutal, and that was before last night.

And I took some heat for simply pointing out the next week will be particularly difficult, and that was before last night.

Teams are going to want a pretty penny to give a Cup contender a goalie, so how do you want to roll? Keep the current lines and hope to out score teams while going with a #3 and #4 goalie? Or get someone's #2 goalie and give up 1 or 2 players off the roster?

New here.....Just wondering why this franchise is allergic to getting a stud goalie sometime. Freddie is always hurt (is he soft? I hate to write that and my caveat is I never played the game.....but jeez.....) and whoever backs him up usually gets hurt. This seems like such a great franchise other than lack of interest in either drafting and developing goalies, or trading for or signing FA goalies. It is mystifying.  The equivalent of throwing a bunch of cr*p at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Welcome, and you're right. The question has been asked for the last 5 seasons why Carolina has steadfastly not signed a legit #1 goalie.

May be that will change with new GM Tulski. The current roster is a product of Don Waddell before his departure to.... you guessed it, Columbus.

with the Blues just hiring new head coach I think Bennington is off the table

Agree. You don't fire a coach and immediately hire the fired Boston coach if you're going into rebuild mode.
