While it would be nice, he owes the fans nothing.

Technically he dose. We pay Jerry Richardson who turns around and pays Smith so indirectly he dose. That dose not mean he has to kiss our ass my no means though.

Yes,

when you quote an article or whatever you have to link to the source.

They are comments, though. There may be some kind of consent that you give when posting the comments that they are then the property of the website, but otherwise, those comments are not articles.

He gets paid to play and do a few fan things here and there, nothing more, nothing less.

Do not question the Kurb. It's like trying to cover Steve Smith. You are only going to look foolish.

It's called plagiarizing if you do not post a link...all mb have the same rule.

It's not like a message board has inherent rules (it's a piece of software). However, most major boards have policies that protect them from civil litigation (such as this link rule).

Also, I don't think I'd characterize it as plagiarism. If he were to leave out the URL but say that it is from the comments section on PFT, then he is not claiming that it is his own work. Since when have comments on an article been considered protected? If I make some comments out in public about a topic and someone echoes my thoughts to other parties, are they stealing my "work"? I wouldn't consider comments on a blog post, article, etc., to be a piece of "work."

My point from the beginning was that PFT is horrible (mostly due to Florio) and that any links to the site only helps their cause. I understand there are rules in place to protect the board and the people who maintain it from legal problems. However, I based my point on the fact that they are side comments made by people who browse the site and are not a part of the article itself.

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
