I can maybe understand bringing up the size concern from a conversational standpoint, but he beat it to death. I was hoping he would dive more into what Bryce did differently during his benching to lead to success later in the season, but he didn't. He touched on it and then immediately went back to his size.

Bryce's turnaround in-season after benching as a 1st overall pick in his second season is compelling, and all he wanted to do was keep throwing the short comments at him. "Like hey, you're short, did you know that?" WTF

Yeah, Dan Patrick was really busting Bryce up for being short.  We all see it.  We get it.  Bryce handled it well.

Bryce has all kinds of appearances on media row.  On the Mike Golick jr podcast, he went really deep in the football nerd stuff about the differences between the Eagles and the Chiefs.  Was cool to see.

Overall, I'm pretty optimistic about the QB position next year.  I'm going easy on the hopium for right now.  I don't want to build up too much of a tolerance before training camp after all, lol.

I get that they talk about his size because it's an anomaly at that position, but I think it's time to give it a rest. It was only a thing because a lot of people questioned his ability to play at that size, but he's proven that he can play. His answer along the lines of never being a different size so how he plays is how he's always played was perfect.

    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
