He has 500 yards and 4tds basically being forced touches and getting every possible opportunity.   He was the 8th best wr with lost of wr in front of him getting way less opportunity.   500 yards when thielen misses half the season and your second wr is an undrafted rookie (that did more with the opportunities) is not good.  It's bare minimum to not be thought of as a bust already.  Especially playing 5 years in college.

You could also say he was forced to play early with the dionte Johnson issue. Then there's mingo with the same issue. Coker was great, Im not going to knock XL cause he played great.

I swear what did people expect from him?? I feel its faaar too weighted, he played like a rookie drafted at 32nd overall.

Dude, you know the Panthers are suckers for one-year wonders with high RAS scores.  It's like catnip to our front office.  Who needs a player with 2-4 years of solid production with a meh RAS score?  I mean, who wants a bikini model with pointy elbows, right?  We end up with the chick in the low lit club who looks super hot at 2am only to wake up the next morning hung over to see her without the fake eyelashes, wig, layers of makeup and her wonder bra, girdle, padded panties and a pair of spanx on the bedroom floor.  Yeah, that's who we are as an organization.

I feel personally attacked by this..

Mingo is gonna be out of the NFL in about a season.

This is sort of the issue with us. I mean, we have seen what a top 15 WR looks like recently. Is there anything that all about XL that reminds you of DJ as a rookie?

Not me. Not at all.

We only draft receivers who skip quickness and agility drills at the combine.

Lots of my XL beliefs comes from this staff. If there's one position the Carolina Panthers should know the best, its WR. The whole group HC, OC, and HOFer WR coach wanted XL. It's a good sign to be wanted by those who know how to develop&coach a group.

Yeah, I mean....I don't really think we have a clear idea of the track record for development for these guys yet.

Which part, the boner for RAS scores or the trying to sneak out of the bedroom at day break becasue your drunken model transformed into Medusa by morning?

ALL of the above(always been RAS nerd), but especially the part about the succubuses...

I never learned even after I came up with the brilliant light and water formula.

That's a good point, give XL more time as well!

I think they have around 30 years of WR coach experience(if you combine Moores playing career). That's one big load brother....

    • Ehlers needs to sit. Definitely can't lose him to a meaningless game.
    • Bet didn't hit because the referee missed 3 clear corner kicks. I had a 5k parlay that would have been alive tomorrow if he didn't miss those calls as well. Super annoying
    • I don't think it's at all a given that we have players who are good at driving the basket. I guess that depends on your definition. Bridges is 43rd in attempts in the paint Miller is 64th and LaMelo is 66th. We all love to see the lob threat but it's largely miniscule at this point in time. There's gotta be a solution here if LaMelo is to be the centerpiece because this is simply not sustainable if we want to continue to ascend. If he can't drive to the basket then that means we need to add another player to the core who consistently can. That would require moving someone like Miles Bridges. And that's certainly not going to be popular with LaMelo but something has to give here for what we are investing and we need to maximize guys like Miller and Knueppel on rookie deals while we still can. The three chucking is fine when it's working where the issue comes into play is there are no adjustments when it isn't and we just go into a shell and begin to look like the Hornets of yesteryear. That's why the offensive evolution of all involved is critical to us taking the next step. Getting to the play in is nice but we should have our sights set much higher. Right now though they need to take care of business against the Heat. All I ask is that they at least beat those fools. I cannot stand the Heat.
