Who is your way too early mid-round draft crush?

Late round WR LaJohntay Wester. Anyone else think he's a guy thay could add a new dimension to the offense? And his teammate Jimmy Horn Jr?

Im not up on the wr class this year. I didn't expect wr to be high on the list of priorities this offseason. But I would not be surprised to see them take a pass catcher of some sort in this draft. They will have to be bpa when we're on the clock.

Yeah, defense really should be the priority this off-season. Draft and free agency. With 9 picks in the draft, they can take a 4th or 5th round flyer on a speedy, elusive WR. I don't care if he's an X or Y or whatever. Team needs more speed on the field. I want to see a receiver that looks like the fastest/quickest guy on the field. Don't care how big he is.

Don't forget the ability to catch the ball with his hands.

Ain't that the truth!

My theory is these bigger guys haven't played receiver their whole lives. They started at QB, DE and RB when they were little. I like those little dudes that have only ever run routes and catch the football.

They 1 job. Catch the damn ball. Bonus points if he's elusive and fast.

I agree with drafting one, best round to do so is 3rd and 4th by history. Its a deep pool and Panthers need not 1 but 2 TEs given Sanders is only one under contract. They should hope sanders can be at least #2, btw Dave seemed to run 12personal/2 TEs base.

With 9 picks, I believe the best results would be Pass catcher, RB(same deep pool) and use the remaining on defense *unless use that 7th on punter or kicker which the Panthers also need. You have to draft Tmac at 8th or wait until 57th to see if a stud TE fell. That is the smart plan, then load up the defense with BPA everywhere form DL, edge, safety, and LB. Use either the 4th or 5th on RB that got looked over in a deep class, use the remaining on more defense. Be ultra aggressive in UDFAs for punters, kickers, returners.

Profit and water your seeds until 2026. Hope tepper doesn't fire you and hope you can challenge for a playoff spot is the weak-ass NFC south(that can change).

Facts are there tooooo many holes and this draft will not fix all of them. Honestly it will take at least another full year, they just need talent.

    • lol Honestly, it might sound dumb, but I've had this idea in my head of a specific picture I really want to get with him since draft night. Basically I want it to be of the two of us sitting on the floor next to each other with the picture from behind.  Ideally it would have been with us both wearing T-Mac jerseys (and me wearing an Arizona hat that has block A logo on the back of it too), but since they won't have baby versions of those for a bit and that does seem like a waste of money on something he'll grow out of in a few months, I think I'll go with this that I've found on Amazon for like 12 bucks........ I'll get this made with T-Mac's #4 but then my Nephew's first name (which incidentally starts with a T, so I've already joked to my sister that she needs to change his middle name to something with "Mc" or "Mac" in it so i can call him T-Mac lol) Just think that would make for a really cool picture for me to have of him at this age (just over 13 months now), with the two of us wearing our #4's.  It's the type of thing I can absolutely see myself getting it printed out by Shutterfly on one of those canvas like prints to hang on my wall. And seeing as they live in NYC with me in Michigan, not sure the next time I'll see him again as I can't just drive on down the street for a picture when the jersey arrives, so was hoping I'd be able to take advantage of seeing them at the end of the month to get this picture, but it would all be dependent on the jersey (and this custom onesie) being shipped in time.
    • Just wear another jersey and have AI photoshop it lol
    • His piece of the pie is only going to get smaller unless there are serious injuries.  Unless the actual pie becomes that much larger, ie Bryce being Kurt Warner, I don't think there's room for him to breakout.  Just like there's not room for JT Sanders to break out beyond a couple hundred yards receiving and a few TDs. I don't think a lot of people understand the volume that XL got last year.
