Steve smith breaks arm!!!!!!!

PFT is saying that "sources" are claiming he broke the arm in a adult league championship flag football game on Sunday while batting down a pass on defense...

Who the hell would let Steve Smith play in an adult flag football league? Can you imagine the other teams reactions to that...

i know he played back in 01 or 02, my good friend was in the league. he just came in and got on a random team with a qb that couldnt get him the ball

maybe, i havent been in charlotte for a while to see/hear the local reporters, although I have never heard that he is a practice standout, in fact I heard the opposite that he didnt know the play book, and SS was calling him out. In his few opportunities, he made some big catches.

Common sense: if you practice hard/well, you get to play in games. jarret hasnt gotten to play in many games.

I think fans overplayed the Smitty comment. The writers the past 2 seasons have reported that Jarrett often looked like the best WR on the team in practice at times. I do think Jarrett struggled with the playbook and other aspects.....I also think other factors out of his control played into his lack of production on Sundays.

seriously, he wasn't talking crap...idk why some of you overreacted

Thank you. I do find it a little amusing you can break an arm playing flag football though. But Smith is tough as nails, he'll be ready to go before the season starts. If i wanted to talk trash, i would talk about what a bust Jimmy "8 3/4 inch hands" Clausen will be ;)

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
