Schein: Trouble in Carolina

The Saltman

Recommended Posts

F*ck Schein, let's have a real discussion:

Would Smitty be allowed to wear one of those padded arm sleeves? Maybe with a plate in it to help prevent further breaks, or would that be considered a competitive advantage?

i don't know if it would help in the way that he broke it. he tried to brace his fall and broke his arm, a sleeve probably wouldn't help that sort of break. the one against the giants though, i'm sure that would have some sort of support for that kind of injury

Took the words right out of my mouth CatMan.......

Couldnt help myself and watched anyway. The second I heard the voice I knew who that was. I listen to him on Sirius but at first didnt recognize the name.

I dont think the guy is that bad, but I dont take anything these guys say this time a year very seriously anyway. Nobody knows how a team will respond. Plus, even if Smitty misses time, just two seasons ago they opened the season without him and went 2-0. I do agree it was kind of stupid and selfish for him to be playing flag football, but nothing the team can do about it now and just move forward until he heals. I only hope they dont rush him back and he ends up re-injuring it during the season.

Since when did Jeff Goldblum give up acting and start reporting on the happenings of the NFL? He was good in The Fly, but this sh*t sucks.

"They say he'll be ready by week one, but I don't believe that will be the case." WTF? Why not, dickbreath? No elaboration on that point, yet he said it with conviction.

with how young the team is I don't think the first 5 weeks will tell much. It will take a while for them to gel as a unit.

Actually the first five weeks will tell alot. It will give us an indication of whether the offense can score enough to win the game while the defense gels. It will also tell us whether the defensive line will be decent against the run and can pressure the passer. The answer to those questions will answer whether we are a contender or pretender this year.

If we end going 1-4 for example we are in serious trouble. If we go 3-2 for example we are still n the thick of things.

    • He's handing off play calling duties to fuging Brad Idzik as well so, either that mouth breather can run the playbook and Canales can grow as an all around head coach or it will be a horrible decision and both of them and BY can screw off. I'm fine with that as long as it isn't just another excuse for BY to get another year with another coach worthy of working around his limitations as a qb.
    • Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.
    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
