Whoa, that scouting report on us seemed like a bit of propogana.

Still there no way in hell we beat the Ravens this year. If there is one game this season we don't match up well against a a good team its that one. I'll be rooting for us but that could be and ugly game.

Never say never. Most people at the beginning of last season thought we couldn't beat New York or Minnesota.

I swear, some of you won't be happy until someone writes an article saying we'll go 12-4. That article will never come. Just stop getting butt hurt by simple opinions about this team already and enjoy the season.

The only thing I took issue with is the comment about Moore being "underwhelming." I think we'll do better than 6-10, but if some of these rookies don't fill the shoes of the veterans that have left, it could happen. I don't see it, but I'm not going to knock the writer for that.

We are going to have busloads of Ravens fans at our tailgate this year apparently. We did in 2002 when they came and it was a lot of fun.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO :D That's not fun, not fun at all

Seriously you guys can beat them, we had a third string Quarterback with 2 days of practise take them to an overtime.

Have no fear unleash the beast and you will prevail.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?!?!?!?

Question mark: When does Jimmy Clausen become the starting QB? The season could turn ugly quickly for the Panthers. Looking to the future, it seems like only a matter of time before Carolina’s second-round pick unseats underwhelming Matt Moore.

I actually feel better about our offense than I have in several seasons.

I am cautiously optimistic about the defense. I think it will be better than most expect. How much better? That will be the real question.

Still say we finish at least 10-6 next season.

I almost stopped reading after this

Biggest addition: The Panthers were surprisingly quiet after losing eight starters from last season: DE Julius Peppers, DTs Damione Lewis and Maake Kemoeatu, LB Na’il Diggs, QB Jake Delhomme, FB Brad Hoover, G Keydrick Vincent and WR Muhsin Muhammad.

Any writer who denies the earth shattering importance of "THE" Marcus Hudson is not worth reading. Which is half serious...if he's missing the chance to mention the attempts at improving ST play for this team in order to mention twice that we lost Julius Peppers, then he really doesn't know how bad our bad ST play last year cost us.

the baltimore ravens? lmaoooooooooooo get real.the last time we played the ravens they went 14-2 in 2006 and we beat them. they have NEVER EVER beat us. that 2006 game doesnt matter right? your right, except for the fact they had the same defense and it was much younger and better than right now. jake threw for 365 yards on them and steve smith had 189. people are really scared of joe flaco?REALLY? ask joe flaco what happened the last time he played a team that had ARMANTI EDWARDS on it. HE LOST.the panthers have never lost to the ravens and they will not lose to the ravens this season. LMAOOOOOOOO AT THE RAVENS PFFFFFFFTTT

Roughly ten sentences, eight of which merely state info one could find by googling, doesn't really fit my definition of a scouting report.

(granted, this comes from someone for whom ten sentences might be an opening paragraph)

That probably took less than five minutes to write, including the typing and the thinking (if you can call it that).

Is 6-10 a possibility? Sure, but does anybody seriously believe the author of that piece took a good hard look at the Panthers and came to his conclusions based on serious and careful consideration? Or does it seem more likely his editor said "write up a couple quick paragraphs on the Panthers" and the author said "sure, let me look up some info" :sosp:
