I guess my next question goes to Kungfoodude:  I assume you dabble in the martial arts to some degree, or you like Jackie Chan movies, but I understand that in grappling, you can choke someone out, causing them to lose consciousness at times.  While Karate may be consensual and that eliminates any type of assault charges, have you ever seen it get heated and a choke hold was employed, in your estimation, crossing the line?  Could that result in legal action?  Just curious.

Never in person. I think there are ample videos of non-professional martial artists that have choked sometimes to death(police are the frequent abusers of this, hence why it was largely banned). If you don't know what you are doing, it's extremely dangerous because you are depriving the brain of oxygen, which can quickly turn serious.

Truthfully, if you do know what you are doing, it's a good way to disable someone who is a danger without doing much harm to them at all(aside from a sore neck).

Turns out he wanted her to leave, she wouldn’t leave, he placed her outside, she got angry, likely drunk, and tried to press charges.

You grab your most valuable items (jewelry, cash, keys, cards, etc) THEN you exit the property. I've been there before, you cannot touch another human. I lucky knew the law enough.

If you cannot avoid her ala she blocking the exits or car door, use a phone and call the cops then somehow get behind a locked door. Once the cops see the level of crazy you are dealing with they with help revolve the mess you're in.

Bonus level of crazy that you never want to deal with- if she has a weapon and forces you to move from a location, by law she can be charged with kidnapping........ its a great way to rid yourself of a level 10 crazy hellbent person....

Here's my deal:

About every other script I write, I spend about two weeks going through police report after police report, looking at crime scene photos, going through autopsies, watching interview footage, sometimes even having to watch on scene video/audio of a murder in progress.

It wears on a soul and honestly, I'm weary of the people who say "I can do this or that to another person" or "if they tried that with me" or the worst of them all "I believed they would stop, why didn't someone stop them?"

Human life is just too fuging cheap on planet Earth.

Brother try not to lose your humanity. I've learned adults are very disappointing and........not to go too far about good vs evil and such...... Its very hard to defend/make a case for humans when evil wants to "thin the herd". That said remain strong and my DM are open-

Totally Free Diagnosis:  Sounds like you might be suffering from a touch of vicarious trauma. It can eat at you. Social workers, medical personnel, educators, and especially those in law enforcement.  Take care of yourself.

People are more desensitized to the value of life and most sensitive to damn near everything else today, in large part due to social media.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
