I've been worried about lafell since the moment we drafted him...here's the issues I have.

1) Every LSU fan I've talked to (I know three or four) complains about the amount of drops this guy had. One guy (who knows a lot about football) said that he felt like they lost confidence in him so much that they started throwing the ball to other people in pressure situations.

2) Tyke Tolbert pushed for us to draft him because he is an LSU alumn. Now I'm not saying that a guy would risk that if he wasn't for sure a prospect would turn out alright but is there a chance that we passed up on a better prospect because of Tolbert and his connections?

I'm not saying Lafell is doomed or anything I just don't like guys who can't catch the football...as a wide receiver that is job number one...otherwise what are you even doing out there.

Man, how many photos have we already seen of Senn just blanketing guys? I really like this kid. While he's not going to start at linebacker, he could be a valuable special teams player.

We certainly have a lot of players like him that will be really fun to watch this preseason.

Word.

2. Beason is fantastic at weakside and if he stays there will have more picks in the NFL than anyone. period. When he almost picked of a pass to Deangelo he went and did 50 push ups just to remind himself not to drop another one.

I know Beason is a beast, but wow... Bustin out 50 in that short amount of time? I just got back to doing my 2 sets of 20 a night lol.

All of that X 3

And the better prospect we passed on was named Mardy Gilyard. This was our bonehead move of the draft. Oh but he had some good blocks in college....great put him on the O-line then he won't be expected to catch. God I hope im wrong. Oh well its not exactly week seven.

Hey Rhino, I think you were the guy I was talking to out there today... sorry I didn't put 2 + 2 together.

Here are couple more things I noticed:

- Norwood got totally burned by Jeff King with a double-move during a 1 on 1 passing drill, but to his credit the next time they came out he didn't fall for the double-move again.

- Dan Connor is bigger than I thought, and it was great to see the # 55 patrolling the middle of the field again. He looked good, seemed like he was right in the middle of every play.

- Saw Thomas Davis standing on the sideline watching practice in his practice jersey and a pair of shorts... really felt sorry for the poor guy.

- I believe most if not all of Armanti's PR drops were live kicks, he did much better catching the ball from the jugs machine. Noticed they started out the drill having him catch live punts while Capt. and Witherspoon caught from the jugs machine, took that as a sign of the Panthers intentions...

-Tyrell Sutton made a very impressive catch on a deep ball thrown by Clausen. Clausen seems to have a real knack for throwing a deep ball, more than once he dropped it right on top of his receiver. Like Rhino, I noticed Clausen seemed to struggle with accuracy on short passes, especially crossing routes - everything seemed to be behind the receiver which makes me wonder if he's still adjusting to the speed at this level?

- Goodson made a beautiful jumping catch on a deep ball, just like Rhino said it was the best catch of the day.

- The special teams coach dropped the F-bomb so loud the entire place heard it. It was directed at # 18 (Oliver Young) and went something like: "I JUST F**KING TOLD YOU, KNOW WHERE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE!".

- Was watching Everette Brown closely, especially on running plays when they went 11 on 11, they were not going full speed or full contact but the few plays I saw he was able to fight off the blocks and flow to the ball well.

- As others have said Charly Martin was a pass catching machine today... might be another big sleeper on our roster?

- Charles Godfrey has definitely bulked up during the off-season, he looked thick.
