the only thing that could make me watch it again is if they cut out all of the public domain songs that nobody has listened to since 1980. it won't be relevant if they don't sing relevant music.

say what you will, and suck as it might. The show has been a Goliath. I usually watch, mainly to have a show in common with the wife. But this past season, i couldnt stand it and quit early on.

My wife followed soon after and i declared the show dead. Checked the ratings one week and they were still stellar.

It will die now Simon C is gone.

not to mention that out of 9 seasons, the loser has had a better career in like 6 of them. the better singer usually doesn't win.

it's mostly because when you're a runner up, a record label will still sign you and you can have your fair share of creative control. if you win, you have to do things their way, they have songs already written for you and you don't have much if any input.

TMZ says the TV talent show — which recently lost Ellen DeGeneres and is rumored to be gaining Jennifer Lopez — will be going back to a three-judge format.
