Lafell has won starting job

I must read different reports than you do; I have never heard any good reports about Jarrett. All I EVER hear now and when he was drafted was his inability to run routes and understand the playbook! Not saying nothing good has ever been said about the kid but I missed all that I guess

that is messageboard talk. All the beat writers who attend pracitce over the course of seasons have reported that Jarrett looks good in practice. Coaches talk also. He just has never been able to get on the field and produce. Sure, saying he looks good doesn't mean he doesn't have areas he needs to work on......but there have been fairly consistant reports about him in practice.

I think it is safe bet that if Steve Smith hadn't made that smart remark to him Jarrett would recieve 35.8% less poo on this board. More focus would be put on Jake, Fox's 2 WR sets, and the fact there was no realistic way Fox was gonna move him ahead of Moose (while Moose is healthy and on the roster).

I will be watching what all the wrs will be doing tonight. Practice means nothing to me. With that said I think LaFell is going to shock some people.

While you may have a point, you only bring up Moose...what about the others he couldn't beat out in training camp and preseason? DJ has had all the chances in the world to make the cut and we all know it just isn't going to happen in my opinion.

Jarrett has been the #3 for a while now... It just so happens that the #3 WR isn't that important to our offense...

not to mention Jarrett actually produced for the most part when given the opportunities. Caught all those clutch 3rd down conversion catches in traffic taking big hits. Jarrett may not get a ton of seperation but he catches it when targeted.

Jarrett only had his rookie year when Moose wasn't on the roster. Jarrett was also younger than your average rookie.

No one was gonna take Moose's spot.

For the Giants game? I doubt it...

Look, I don't even have an opinion on Jarret, I'm just basing this on the amount of time both have been in the league and who just "feels" more likely to be the starter by the first game.

I don't care who it is, as long as they play well. I just don't see LaFell beating out Jarrett for the Giants game unless he obviously plays better than Jarrett.

Right, but he has been the number three behind more than just Smitty and Moose! No matter who has been in camp he has never been able to break into the #2 Roll...EVER

only his rookie year. Fox ain't gonna put anyone ahead of Moose. When Fox is ready to do that then Moose won't be on the roster.....and he isn't.

      I have already said I am out on Bryce so let’s not even bring him up here. I think XL sucks even if he were to have Mahomes throwing to him.   This rep alone is enough to see he doesn’t have what it takes to be a regular starter in the NFL. At least try to make the catch you idiot

      Way back in my younger days as a reporter, I had to go and cover a D.A.R.E. graduation event at a local school. They had two NASCAR racing teams there for the kids to meet. Teams sponsored by two different beer companies, one of which had just won the Winston Cup (wow, really back in the day, and a cigarette brand if you didn't know).  The kids were having a ball and were in awe of the drivers and crew members, they loved seeing the cars. Advertising and marketing are so fuging pervasive in everything we do that the public really doesn't stand a chance anymore. And gambling is doing a full on press for this generation and the next.  Sports gambling has always existed and always will, but this industrialized one is more than parasitic, it's viral. I'm not sure if the patient will survive it, but if it does, there will be a mighty shock to the system before it lets go.
