Kenny Moore has "disappeared" since the first week of camp

If Gettis has games like Cruz did for the Giants, then I would agree with you. Otherwise, I don't see him making the roster.

Depends what Gettis is like on STs. He's got the talent to contribute down the road, but he probably won't this season. I think they'll look for a way to keep him around.

I'm not saying Gettis is going to be our No. 2, just that cutting Jarrett would allow him to make the squad.

We took Gettis knowing he was a bit of a project. He's big and fast, with a ton of potential. And he made a few decent grabs in camp.

I know he was just a sixth-round pick and we've got to keep the players that can contribute right now, but I just don't see us cutting a pick from this year's draft.

Gotcha, but with him being a 6th round pick, I doubt anyone would claim him and he could easily slide on the PS. I still say there will only be 5 WRs on the opening day roster.

lol @ the Pep thing... a lot of you are still heartbroken that I had you thinking I had some sort of inside knowledge... ;)

As for the DJ thing, I WILL GO THAT FAR!!!! :)

Throw your own identity up if you are so confident about the DJ situation...

I never said such things about the Pep thing, but I am pretty much 100% positive that DJ will make the roster...

Haven't you noticed how most reporters changed their tunes about him since before camp started, and its early days? It was all doom and gloom for DJ, and the recent reports are the complete opposite...

Put it in your sig for record keeping... If DJ is cut and Guy or Gettis make the team instead, I will ask that user Samuel L. Jackson be deleted from these forums, and I will start over...

LOL well I did call you on the Peppers thing long ago. Still Im not going to go as far to say DJ will not make the team. He just want make the team over Moore. That Im 10000% positive of. Moore has improved greatly over a year and while he may not be on the outside with Smith he will make the team.

Don't agree. If we run any 4 wide sets this year then 6 WRs will be a minimum especially with Wright who will be there for special teams.

That was tough considering the potential of Gettis but I have to go with Jarret for what I have seen so far and the next three based on what they bring to other units.

Yea its kinda hard to snub Jarrett on that one when Gettis is far from a polished WR and let Edwards get creamed on ST.

Lets see what happens over the rest of preseason. There is still time for players to help or hurt themselves.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
