Growing Sense that we take Mykel/Shemar, No matter who's available

Recommended Posts

If we're taking a Georgia defender I'd prefer Walker. I have some questions about him as a pure edge kinda like I did with Micah Parsons coming out of Penn State but like Parsons, I think the guy is just a football player. Put him on the field and he'll figure it out. Draft him to play edge and if it doesn't work out then make him a versatile off the ball LB who is an above average blitzer. It's not like we don't have plenty of need at both areas.

I watch quite a few UGA games and it's always Walker who is the front seven player in that defense who jumps off the screen.

....all three are a stretch at 8.

Cool....Everybody in this draft is a stretch outside  of 3 players. So you evaluate, see who fits you the best, and pick because it still has to be done.

graham, hunter, and not sure how I feel about Carter due to his foot

Even with the foot injury he's still 1 of the top 3 in this class. It's an underwhelming class filled with developmental projects.

That 2011 draft was special. Haven't seen anything like it since.

Yeah it will take a few years to evaluate each class after they make it into the league. This class will be no different. But going into the draft it is not looking that good.

for sure, just saying his foot is a bit concerning but his talent is undeniable

Yeah injuries is a concern for whoever takes him 1st or 2nd overall. But i would take him over any qb in this class. But that's just me.

hell yeah, he is a great pass rusher but still feel that walker is the better overall talent.  All things considered

I think it will depend on where each end up and the defensive system they are in. But honestly, I don't see a huge difference in the two other than what they were asked to do on the field. I've got a feeling the Panthers will take a Georgia defensive player.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
