Edwards is getting all the returns because he needs as much in-game experience as possible. He's the best fit for the position athletically so it makes sense that the coaching staff are pushing for him to return kicks, and he did show flashes at times. Obviously if he hasn't fully grasped it by the start of the season Munny will be the guy.

How is he the best fit "athletically"? Is he our fastest player? No. Do others on the team have similar if not equal field vision? Yes.

You do NOT put a PROJECT in critical game positions. You just don't. The only reason he's out there is because of what we traded to get him, and what he can possibly be. If he ends up there mid-season, brilliant. But for now, let's put a project where it belongs: on the bench.

If any other team in the NFL did what we're doing, we'd say they were taking a huge risk or/and were fools. Why are we cutting our team slack? The kid is not ready to be out there. I hope one day he is. Thankfully these have only been preseason games.

Damn it sucks that the preseason games aren't big practice scrimmages. WHY IS FOX PLAYING 3RD STRINGERS!!!! Wtf is going on around here, this is not good coaching, I mean seriously, The GOD Rex Ryan knows whats up, he played his starters@@!@!!!@one. These players only need to be able to do anything for the team after everyone has taken a shower and gone home for the evening and we let little Timmy Twofingers throw passes at them to practice returns. Yes he is hurting the team. We had 2 posessions taken away from our extremely young offense because he couldnt catch a punt. And how can you say Captain doesnt need the reps? I dont believe he burned anyone last year on returns, and this is his only 2nd year in the league!!!

The return game is one of the aspects of our tram that needs the most help/work. Edwards can get a quarter season worth of experience during the preseason. Get him in there and let him make the mistakes now, learn from it and get better while wins don't matter. Who cares if he muffs a couple now. As long as he learns from itand gets better, it will help our team in the long run.

Isn't it kind of amazing how if you say lafell's hands aren't good people agree and everybody goes about their business. But you imply that a Edwards might not be the best guy for the punt return job and people go nuts. Is it just me or is there a little bias when it comes to this guy?

Let's get one thing straight...he was a qb for a d 2 school. Its not like he was shredding a sec defense week in and week out so to say that he is the best athlete or most gifted return guy on the team is stretching things considerably. And while we are discussing speed and quickness, who here RIGHT NOW would rathe have Jordan shipley than edwards? I know I would and Shipley has average speed and quickness...compared to armanti anyway. So let's please stop using that excuse for him being in there over other players.

It's funny bc I think they have been doing that...the puck Moore threw seemed like he was trying to force it to lafell. Kinda diminishes the offenses effectiveness but I guess the same could be said about muffed punts. Maybe that's why we are 0-2 in the preseason...but that might be a good thing.
