Panthers keepers, sleepers, weepers

I agree with others, I don't see how we would keep Carter. If it comes down to a roster spot for Carter or a 5 or 6th WR who won't see the field anyway......I say we keep a specialist. Can't let guys start returning KOs at the 10.

I hope we keep Robert McClain, but I really just don't see it happening.

And Martin over Gettis and Moore?? That's kinda outrageous.

Martin can play ST which would give him an edge over Moore. Moore is done pending something crazy tonight.

Panther beat writers...keep: Steve reed, pat yasinkas, mr. Scot. Cut: the observer.

Reed has stepped up his game the past few seasons, as has yasinkas, who's promotion to the NFC east knobslobbers espn has actually brought out his best journalism. Gantt's been on a sharp decline, as has the staff at the observer, who's articles and blogs have been less informative and more pissy commentary, filled with writing so moronic, even the editor has had to log into the comments section to defend his employees from the harsh critique of the fanbase, not unlike when Fox would protect Carr from the homecrowd. The surprise of this bunch is the undrafted Mr Scot, who's football knowledge is not limited to personal bias, leaving us with a well thought out analysis and interpretation of panther related commentary.

I don't think Charlie Martin gets the respect he probably deserves because bad luck has kept us from seeing his actual potential besides running down the field on ST's coverage. I think he could have a legit shot and bringing some receiving skills to the roster once his hand heals, if he's kept, of course.

Gantt said Pugh is future starter..but he has no place to start..

you never know, if I claimed Dan Connor would be our starting MLB for 2010 you would think Beason got run over by a truck. One way or another, I think most talented guys get a window to prove themselves. We could have a S go down.

Keep 2 QB's.....with AE as the emergency third. Cantwell or Pike is no better than anything we could sign in a inch.

Something we agree on! I think they try to sneek Pike through waivers, but even though Moore and Clausen are inexperienced, they both can be successful with our ground game and defense. I think Cantwell gets a ton of time, to audition for another team.

    • It is heretical language to some.  We casual types can say it, we are just dumb. When Cosell says it they probably go looking for their pacifiers and blankies.  Second consecutive week he dished that out.  I wonder what it will be on the review this week.
    • I love how everyone is acting so surprised by this, it's actually pretty comical that it's a shock to anyone. This is how it is in ALL sports.  It's the same reason we were in tight games last year against teams like KC and Philly.   I'll bet the same people surprised by this right now are the same ones who thought those games were the proof that Bryce was legit and this team wasn't far from being in contention. Teams have down weeks, whether it happens because they're playing a weak opponent so don't think they need to take the week as serious or because a team just got too big headed after a good streak of games/wins, it just happens. There have been very few teams who have ever been 100% locked in every week, you're talking about 2007 Patriots or 95-96 Bulls type of teams there. Hell, just look at the Bills this week, there was no reason for them to lose that game and they got blown out.  But sure, we're the franchise with the culture problems because a few guys got their head over their skis this past week.
    • TBH, we won't know unless they say or some people get benched. It's pointless to even speculate. The greater point is that the coaching staff is allowing it to happen. So much for a "Leadership Council."
