Official Panthers - Stillers Game Thread....

Exactly.

It's the time of year where you discover how unproven players play in game situations, that way, you don't have to do it when the games matter.

Or, you could be stupid and run Wildcat plays and cheesy draws, in spite of the fact that you haven't yet decided on a 2nd WR, among a number of other valuable positions.

It's preseason...

You think they haven't decided on a #2 yet?

Armanti!

Just kidding, it'll be Jarrett.

Seriously, I'd be concerned if they were making any attempt at winning. They're not, they're just mostly throwing the fringe players around to see how they react.

Your right, what was I thinking, Armanti has proven so far to be such a valuable asset, let's try him out at RB.

He's L33t!!!

Meh, I personally think he threw a pretty good pass on the run.....oh poo I shouldn't have said that here come the start Armanti at QB fans.....

You made my point for me. This game doesn't matter, so why not try a few different in the offense just to see what you have? It may work, it may not, but it doesn't hurt to at least try since it's preseason.

Except that we won't do it during the regular season.

That's the point.

Armanti will be lucky to even get a uniform on gameday the way it's going.

They've been doing that all preseason.

That's why we have no offensive TDs.

I would've like to see us go into the regular season with some actual drives having been practiced in games.

Like most teams do..

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
