I am highly suprised to see that DT Tank Tyler has been cut ,after we gave up a fifth-round pick in 2010 to get Tyler last year and had him listed as a starter most of the preseason.

The Tank Tyler release and cutting CB C.J. Wilson have been the biggest suprises to me ,so far.

So.. he's not disruptive, doesn't get much push, doesn't do much to flush the QB out and doesn't accumulate a bunch of tackles.. but he's improving?

Thank God. He'll be up to "kinda-ok rotational guy" by 2014. We just need to be patient!

Did you actually watch Hayden this preseason with an open mind? If you did, then you saw that he played pretty damned well. Believe it or not, sometimes young players get better with time and experience...it happens every single year. Hell, just look at how Erik Moore has played. It's pretty obvious he is a very much improved player compared to where he was a year or two ago.

Yep, the FO is retarded for cutting a journeyman DT when we have several guys who have looked great in camp and in preseason.

And all those wondering why Hayden didn't get cut...he's done nothing but improve since he's been here and he actually had a really good preseason. Panthers fans have a bad opinion of him because he was forced into starting due to injuries to other guys and he just wasn't ready for it. That doesn't mean he's worthless. He'll be a good back-up for us.

I watched Hayden all training camp and he was out with an injury most of the time. Yeah he did have a sack in the preseason at the end of the fourth quarter. Hayden has sucked, is sucking, and will continue to suck. Like I said before he isnt big enough to clog a hole and too slow to pass rush. If anyone of you guys go back and watch the game against the steelers, OMG he sucked sucked sucked! Im all for giving guys a chance and prospects and all that but I havent seen anything at all period that says he is improving, NOTHING. Bad choice to keep him over anyone we had in my opinion.

I'm astounded at the amount of b*tching going on about a third string DT. Johnson, Landri and Leonard have been sick in the preseason and will be more than sufficient for the season. Tyler would've have been the fourth or fifth DT and never would have seen the field.

And please, it wasnt good by any means, you act like he demanded double teams and made several tackels. Hayden had a disgraceful preseason last year and wasnt cut, soooooo wheres the logic?
