Available WRs... Ideas/Favorites?

Obviously, many of us still think WR is the weakest position on the team, and rightfully so.

I'm guessing Martin would be the first guy let go for another WR if we brought one in, or the guy closest to the cut line at any other position.

Here's my best candidates so far:

Matt Jones

Desmon Briscoe }Both from Bengals

Troy Williamson } Jags

Jason Hill } 49ers

Demetrius Williams } Ravens

Marko Mitchell } Vikings

All I got for now...

Although some fans have been calling for the Panthers to add a No. 2 receiver from outside the organization to help Steve Smith it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

In fact, Hurney seems content to stick with what they have. The plan is to develop the young receivers they drafted.

“A lot of people I’ve talked to in the fan base are excited about our youth and the energy it brings and watching the development,” Hurney said. “Everybody has different opinions but we feel good about our team in general and the young players we have and their skill level. It all begins next week and we’ll see how it goes.”

I don't understand why people keep calling for the Panthers to bring somebody in from the outside.

Do you really think that Housh is going to get the invite to come over and play after we cut so many players that were 30+? Teams adhere strictly to their philosophy, and Fox definitely sticks to his guns.

Not happening. We've got 6 on the roster. Between DJ/LaFell/Gettis, we're bound to find a #2. I wouldn't be surprised if Armanti got a little bit more action as the season goes. I would be concerned if we were a pass first offense, but we've got DWill and JStew in the backfield. If they're not getting it, Smitty is. The TE's are getting more love in the pass game as well, so that's another group to compete with in order to get touches. Going out and spending money on old hats when we've already got some perfectly ones that need to be broken in chilling on the rack is a bit... silly?

    • The offseason is always when hope springs eternal. If you look past that, you can see a very bad roster with a lot more questions than definitive answers. Let's hope we get a lot of those right, because I think we are a lot closer to another impatient Tepper reset than we probably think.
    • These arguments are getting more and more disingenuous from both the pro and anti Bryce crowd. Bryce looked very good for stretches down the final 8 games. He finally showed glimpses of the guy that was projected as a top QB pick in the draft. Bryce also didn't look like a top 10 NFL QB.  I think we are so far removed from Prime Cam that we forget what an elite QB looks like. I could tell that when people were losing their minds and simping for Sam Darnold. This season needs to finally showcase Bryce as a franchise talent. If that doesn't happen, it's time to pivot. There are very few recent examples of QB's struggling or being a mixed bag through the first three seasons of starting and then suddenly becoming frachise caliber players.
    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
