if Clausen is gonna play they need to find a vet to bring in. Outside of Smitty we have a bunch of guys that currently at best #3s or 4s of good teams.

I know it won't happen.

but if they are gonna throw a rookie QB out there for the rest of the season....they don't need to give him an assortment of rookie WRs that really should be 3rd or 4th on a depth chart as starting options. Won't be good for Jimmy. He needs to be the only one making errors with guys that can bail him out. Being a rookie and starting in the NFL at QB is too tough.

Not gonna say Gettis did bad, but all he actually has to his credit today is one pretty good play. Counterbalance that with the other play where he didn't start running fast until the ball was in the air.

He might be good, but I can't really point to anything today that makes me feel more certain of him than before.

yeah, he's got a lot of work ahead of him.. especially selling his routes.. (from what few I was able to see)

He looked okay. No better and no worse than Lafell currently. He does try hard and at least with him in you get the chance to take the top of the defense. I liked the plays where they lined Smith and Gettis up next to each other and used Gettis to run the safeties off.

Gettis looked good today, I'd like to see more of him next week. From what I saw it looked like he has some good potential that we could definitely use (if the coaching staff knew how to use player's potential). I'd also like to see less of Moore next week and more Clausen.

Gettis is a star in the making, IMO.

I think that if there was one WR on the team to focus on getting the ball to, other than Smith, it's Gettis. Everyone wants to compare LaFell to Moose but to me Gettis is more comparable to Moose, at least coming out of college, than LaFell is.
