Carolina Panthers add WR Marcus Henry to Practice Squad

Jog slowly down a football field every single day, make it rain, and get a DUI? Oh, and get your weeeeeeeener constantly sucked on by a group of about 10 Panthers fans?

I kinda wish I had Jarrett's job. I mean, he doesn't really work out, he doesn't read the playbook, he doesn't get hit because he runs the wrong routes. He just gets on the 45-man squad, stands on the sidelines of a Panthers game, gets a 100k, and goes home.

His coaches this offseason said that just about all of that was bullcrap.

He just doesn't get open, and he doesn't get on the field much anymore because of that. He's just not that skilled.

He may not have tried in some seasons but I really think he tries now, he just... still can't do it.

i think they are hoping that in at some point the light will come on...either that or they are waiting for him to take that spike out of his mouth so they can put him on the field.

He doesn't need to get "open", he needs to build trust with the QB that he can come down with the football when lobbed up to him. Too many people are expecting Moose like qualities that just aren't there. The dude is tall and has good hands. Not. Much. Else.

thats what w have jeff king for, isn't it? both are pretty good about catching the ball and then falling down after it. at least king has more uses and knows what he's supposed to do. jarrett's a one trick pony.

    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
    • In the locker room after the Dallas game, multiple  players said FEED him when Canales mentioned Rico stats. That already made me think even the locker room wouldn't care if Rico got the touches rn. This is on Canales indeed and I agree n the Qb take.  We aren't winning  bc of Bryce  but he has been managing it. Had the Jets had Qb aptitude,  we could've probably  lost that game too. All they would've needed is 14 points. Regardless, we got a team  that's being built up and that position needs an overhaul.
    • I think he was trying to mimic the Lions with Montgomery and Gibbs. They are just more of the exception to the rule and Brooks was too much of a gamble to be a Gibbs type player. The Lions also didn’t sign Montgomery and draft Gibbs until their offense was nearly set. It was more of a luxury take the offense to the next level type of deal.
