Gary Barnidge

WTF happened to that guy? After looking good in TC he has been absent like Jangler from the huddle this week.

I was asking myself the same question yesterday. When Barnidge was given an oppotunity, he made big plays. Why is it other teams can effectively use their TEs and we can't seem to get ours involved in the offense?

I guess we need 3 blockers to help out the OL from not giving up a sack every play. Instead the sack comes every other play

and yet it still hasn't worked!!!! :D I can't wait for this current offensive regime to hit the bricks. I get more thrills watching a HS offense as opposed to Fox's conservatve crap. /rant

play calling play calling play calling, why use GB when we can run up the middle if that doesnt work we can run up the middle again then on third down run a basic pass play why use Barnridge he's to fast for lb's it might mess up the thought a punt is a GREAT OFFENSE PLAY

Of all the things I am disgusted with this is top five. Not Barney's fault im sure. Like every other aspect of our shameful offensive playcalling it all boils down to the fact that we don't do a single freaking thing to cause the D to second guess themselves. The week before playing Carolina must be like a mid-season vacation for DC's. I thought the "lame duck" comments where pretty silly until I witnessed it for three straight Sundays. Next year I have a feeling we will see a lot more of Barney when we get a coach who tries even a little bit.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
