People can say what that want about Fox BUT

He has had more wins since being in Carolina then the Bucs, Falcons, and Saints and two of them teams had been Superbowl Champs why he was coach. We also have been better then most team each and every year then a few team. So shut the HELL UP. Any coach in the lead will tell you that Fox is a hell of a coach. The only thing that I see Fox has done wrong was keep Jake as long as he did. NOW THAT IS THE REAL DEAL

Fox defense thread #2000000 sounds like every other fox defense thread.

Thing is, in a "What have you done for me lately" leauge, John Fox is trash, doesn't really matter what he's done in the past, He's not a terrible coach, but he's not a good one eithier.

You only can work with the tools they give you. Now if they would get him a QB like Peyton, Brees, Farve, Brady where do you see FOX and company. He can't help the front office is cheap. Working with the tools he have I would say good job Fox Im sure he wasn't pushing Peppers out the door and without the defense that we had in the past(because of FOX) where would you think we would have placed. I promise we wouldn't went to the SB. So don't blame it all on Fox. You can't win them all.

Fox hasn't done anything in the past three or four seasons. And he'll be gone after this season is over, so you don't really have any room for boasting. He's done here in Carolina, and everyone knows this. Yeah, he took us to the Super Bowl seven... yes, seven years ago. And the only reason he got us that far is because teams didn't know how to prepare for 'em since he had just earned his first head coaching job.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
