Hmmm

seems to me any success we have had running this season has come from outside the tackles.

We are getting stuffed constantly inside the tackles, which has nothing to do with the WR blocking. More likely inferior play at guard and tackle.

So I am going to have to call bullocks to this notion.

When you call them, tell them to call my cell, cause I lost my phone and did not have their number stored to my sim card so I can't get in touch with them lovely twins!

Panthers ran the ball a lot better last year and not much has changed on the offense aside from Moose and Hoover.

Actually, during the first 3-4 games last year, we didn't run it all that well. Williams numbers after 3 games last year, 43 carries for 180 yards. This year, its 41 carries for 180 yards. Stewart's numbers last year after 3 games, 23 carries for 99 carries, compared to this year's 21 for 68 yards. Goodson has a few more yards this year. But the point is the run game started out slow last year but picked up as the season went on. Its starting slow again this year.

Zod nailed it first post. Our WRs are actually doing their blocking it's the OL that is letting guys come through and make contact early. Last year, it was common to see our OL push the DL 2 yard up field, now we aren't getting any push at all.

a lot has changed since last year.. lol

RT, RG.. Moose did show up in quite a few games and was the #1 receiver in a couple of those..

that right there is a total new dynamic..

not to mention a new QB who has to get timing down with not just plays, but the receivers he is throwing too..

yeah, not much has changed.. ;)

oh, and Moose's blocking is not the reason we can't run.. thanks catdaddy for another insightful post/thread...

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
