How can anyone justify Moore over Clausen at this point?

How do you justify interceptions as better than incompletions? Moore stands in the pocket and makes good throws to DB's and LB's. Sure he can get us to the red zone but he's a pick machine. 6 picks this year.

Did you even watch the game? First Int for Moore hit Edwards hands it was low but it was catchable. The second was a throw up that the receiver could have gotten if he fought for it. Clausen couldnt even throw a long pass to a open receiver.

pointless stats for comparison.

Moore came in a made some good throws staying in the pocket. Can't really fault him for either pick given how they occured. The backup QB is suppose to take that last shot and hope his WR makes a play...throwing the ball away is worse on that last play.

At this point who really cares but yes, yes you can fault him for both INT's. It was a terrible pass to AE that hit him in the Knee (or ankle) on a 6 yard crossing route. And you wanna talk about Jimmy throwing low. Then the second one was thrown into double coverage, again, and really wasn't even close to be caught by our receiver.

I think we all need to face the facts. We have two of the worst starting QB's in the league on this team. Only thing, in my mind, that separates the two is the fact one has no NFL experience prior to this year and the other is our incarnation of a veteran!

IMO its still better to leave Jimmy in there and let him take his lumps.

BTW, he played better than Sam Bradford yesterday! ROFL

Clearly you didn't watch it...open receiver?!? Please, give me excuses on Moore's 4 other INTs this year.

We have three delusional people in this thread.

Squirrel is right. Just ask Fiz about open receivers.

how is the AE pick Moore's fault? Should have resulted in a couple yards. Moore stayed in the pocket (which Jimmy won't) and made throws.

Explain to me the purpose of Moore throwing the last play of the game away for an incompletion? He did was he was suppose to do there. Take the risk and stat hit.

    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
    • Didnt Canales already say starters are playing in the pre season? either way extra reps dont hurt but im not one of those people that think playing in the pre season would have saved Bryce from an awful start.
    • very helpful.  I read back in this thread where they might try Jarvis at C--I thought he and Aho had good chemistry, however.  Nonetheless, he could expand his value there, and now we have a guy who can play jarvis' spot.  Freddie is a pro, no doubt--and as little as I know about the inner workings of strategy and positions, I could tell Burns was burning us at times.  I figured he'd retire and I was looking forward to it.  FWIW, they have Jarvis listed as a C on the 2025-26 roster.
