Actual evidence for firing Jeff

I know he's not getting fired but damn this is a link to an Armanti interview it starts at 6:45 and counts down at 4:40ish it gets interesting. My first question is, is it lack of preparation of lack of creativity? How in the world do you only install two m*ther... plays if you know he's going to be in the game that weekend. He plays wideout yes, but I thought we drafted him for his versatility, what if they have great success do we do the same plays over and over?

Damn this is sad to me to think we throw a wrinkle in the playbook and it consist of two plays seriously im baffled by how we put in two plays in a four quarter sixty minute game of a new package who's to blame Fox or Jeff?

How many plays do you think he is going to be in for? 25?? He will be in for one or two series at most. Each play has 2 or 3 variations so it is a total of 5 or 6 plays. That is sufficient I would think. If every week you install 2 new plays for him by the end of the season it will add up to 15 or 20 plays.

I am not a big Davidson fan but this seems to be a non-issue.

How many plays do you think he is going to be in for? 25?? He will be in for one or two series at most. Each play has 2 or 3 variations so it is a total of 5 or 6 plays. That is sufficient I would think. If every week you install 2 new plays for him by the end of the season it will add up to 15 or 20 plays.

Did you watch the interview? He said himself we installed two plays one was a reverse the other a pass. There aren't a few variations to that P55 he said quote if he's not open run which he did. That is not a variation I would think the package would include a handoff to the back or run out of it designed for him you know the ten on eleven rule leaving one man to make the tackle, which worked for us before and probably could work again leaving them guessing because he is a major threat to pass. Those would be variations right? He was given two plays two that doesn't cut it when we all including coaches (they know better than us) know our offense is at the bottom of the barrel if your going to try to spruce things up and you have a weapon waiting in the wings you would have a nice assortment of plays if and when we call his number. Check the tape on Vick last year used in the wild eagle or whatever he had numerous differnt plays from the moment he hit the field. Im not saying he is ready for a full qb playbook but enough plays to let him get some reps if he is making something happen. Wildcats work because of the ability to a extra blocker or its deception why would we not try that. You asked how many plays should he have 25 maybe not that but damn is 10 to many come on P we need to understand how to stay one up on the competition sometimes. ok that's enough almost club time bottoms up.

maybe I'm confused... but isn't a reverse out of the wildcat a bit strange? You're basically admitting to a trick play setup by going with the wildcat, and isn't half the advantage of a reverse the surprise factor? I dunno I guess I don't know enough about playcalling.

2 plays seems like too little, but hopefully he'll have more going into future weeks. Kinda astonished though because didn't he run more plays than that in the preseason out of the wildcat?

On a reverse you have at least 3 variations. You fake the reverse and keep the ball, you hand off to the guy on the reverse, or you give it to the upfront back instead of the guy on the reverse. 3 variations.

On the pass you have the options to throw it to your first receiver, dump it off to the back, or run the ball. Again 3 variations at least.

Like I said 5 or 6 variations on 2 plays which could all be effective. I am sure I could come up with more if I thought about it.

Edwards is a receiver not a quarterback and needs to spend most of his time actually learning his first job which will actually pay the bills instead of spending all his time on trick plays or the mountaineer. Once he actually learns his job then he can work on other things. I certainly wouldn't waste much time on the mountaineer when he needs to do the basics first like run good routes and catch the ball. There is no telling whether he will even be active or not at this point.

You aren't confused. The D will be glued to Armanti. He will have no chance, unless he drops back to pass, then runs... or just actually passes. If Smitty has trouble doing it...AE will too. Just my opinion.

Can someone please tell me why we liked Davidson in the first place? Because he wasn't Henning? Because he had Patriot ties? I've never liked him. Just because he's in the organization doesn't mean we must blindly follow. It may be safe to say...he's trash. Our QB has never had great stats under him. Can you imagine if we didn't have as good a talent as Double Trouble? Wow.

henning is calling many of the same plays in Miami we used to see, even 3rd and long draws once in a while.

He is more creative now, but then again, it's been so long I can't remember if he was creative some of the time too.

I would love to see some more designed short passes... just not to lafell. please. I know he's a rookie, I'll give him time, but let's stick someone in there who can catch reliably for now.

that adjusment should have been made after the 1st game.our route tree is terrible.
