Should Richardson

Yeah, this was in the works since the end of last season when no new CBA was in place. The unwelcomed invitation to come back to Foxy, letting Pep walk with no compensation, etc.

And for the poster who got the call back from JR, he said JR told him just as much - it was all part of the plan to reduce costs preparing for a possible lockout, we went young in the process, and when we improve the fans will come back... He didn't sound apologetic, rather very calculating, keeping his plan and strategy in sharp focus.

I would like for him to apologize to us as a fanbase in a public way, but he won't. It would mean something to me. Part of the frustration with this season has been outside of some of the posters here that have received phone calls from him or Morrison, everyone's been left in the dark. A majority of the fan base still couldn't tell you exactly why we're where we are right now or the reasoning behind it. Because the franchise has never addressed it publicly, so it feels insulting.

Again, I'd like it, but as some have pointed out before, that's not JR's style. I appreciate what he's done for us as fans since the beginning, I'd just like to be acknowledged and feel like we're apart of what's going on, rather than just shelling out money towards something with questionable direction.

the biggest problem with the Panthers this season is their inability to run the ball. The only OLineman that was sent packing was a washed up Vincent.

How could anyone (the front office included) have seen that this Oline could turn to complete poo this season.

I'm guessing they assumed Otah would be back.. and that they had 3 options (including Robinson) who might fit the RG role..

Otah has been out all season and perhaps that put too much on the shoulders of 2 of our backups, instead of 1.. which impacted the rest of the line..

not really making any point, just the only sense I can make of it..

we seemed fine last year with a backup at RG and Otah...

Jerry just got a massive stadium on the taxpayer nickel. I don't see the situations as being the same.
well, they are kind of the same. major difference is that JJ is pissing off a whole taxpayer base. i think that would carry more weight. both did quite a bit to anger people, though.

Richardson saying sorry wouldn't do anything. He say's sorry for not paying players. What would you do if you worked your butt off and then your boss comes up and says sorry I didn't pay you guys more but keep it up for 8 more weeks. Wouldn't that de-motivate you more?

I kind of said this in another thread that was eerily similar to this one (I know, imagine that), but you may see him offer an apology of sorts after the season. I don't think it will come during the season though. That would only serve to undercut things more than they already are.

If I were in his position, I would certainly not say a word.

The players know that you went on the cheap, the fans know that you went on the cheap, nothing you can say will change that.

If you make a statement either saying that he is sorry he will be strung up, and for good reason. Or if he says that he didn't think that we would be this bad, and put it on the coaches and players he will be crucified.
