Jake would have cost us exactly the same as he is now as a mentor. This was a total and complete screw up by the team in an effort to appease the fanbase.

Jake is proving to be a good mentor of McCoy, but he is also a good influence on the whole team. He had an innate talent for getting his teammates to give their all. It is obvious that there's no one here in Carolina anymore that can do that.

Say what you want about his quarterbacking skills, but he was a great leader.
