Would You Be Happy with Mike Goodson as the Future at RB?

We've all raved about his performances for the most part this year including today's effort, and most felt the bromance after his performance in the preseason last year...

That being said, with all the uncertainty of our players on expirings, how would you feel about Goodson being 'the man' going forward?

I love DWill and would want him to retire as a Panther, if possible. But, we're looking at having to let one of these guys go out of DWill, Stewart, or Goodson because there's just too much talent in the backfield when they're all healthy. So who would it be?

Yeah, I would like that too. But, I just don't know how we can do it and if all three guys would be willing to stick around to share carries long-term. I think of the Cowboys and their 3 RBs... I honestly, don't believe each one of them could be the full-time starter by himself on another team.

With our guys, thinking objectively as possible, I DO think each of them could start on another team. Ideally, I'd like to keep all of them but I just don't know how long we can keep Goodson under the radar without involving him more for the long-term.

The main problem we have from here out is that we currently have 5 backs that various times all look good. Vaughn looked good today - Sutton has looked good at times - D-Will and Stew have a history of being good (but have now become injury prone).

I'd keep: D-Will or Stew (but not both), Goodson, Vaughn, Sutton and find some way for at least 2 of the 3 to be on the field every play - some plays all 3 with 1 in the slot.

Trade either D-Will or Stew while they still have some value.

    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
    • oh now that's what you call Mother Fiuggure fans the ones that always have this fierce protective shield around the team no matter if they win or lose  & to be honest there is nothing really wrong with being a Mother Fiugguer fan they just have a different meaning or sense of what a true fan really is                                                 ☺️
    • I'd gamble, miles josh green and 2-3 firsts especially if we could trade both this years and 1 future
