There is logic in rooting against Panthers victories at this point

So what if we keep losing, go 1-15 and then draft Luck only to find out 3 years later he is Ryan Leaf. Does it blow this whole hoping to lose to hell. I think so.

Honeslty I saw him against Arizona State last Saturday and I was not impressed. Arizona State had a 2-4 Pac -10 record coming in and kept Stanford to 17 points. Luck put up lots of yards but didn't sustain that many drives and was poor in the red zone. Not many threading the needle passes but mostly thrown to wide open receivers and many short balls. Not bad for a quarterback but the number 1 quarterback in the country. Hard to see him as a sure thing.

He's no Matt Moore, that's for sure.

Why are you so afraid to shoot for the stars? Sure there's a chance he'll be Ryan Leaf, but there's a much greater chance he'll be Peyton Manning.

Let's at least TRY to hit a home run rather than figure out how we can go 9-7 rather than 7-9 like we usually do.

At this point I don't know if I have a sure thing pick right now. Lets see how they play when the bowl games come and the pressure gets ratcheted up. Luck like Newton have never played under a pressure packed situation. Remember when Clausen was deemed the best quarterback and as things got closer, it was clear who the real deal was with Bradford being above the rest. Lots could happen between now and next April. Folks who jump way too early for a pick with only part of the puzzle usually make poor choices.

Yeah I bet this is the same discussion that San Diego had in 1998. C'mon now lets go for Leaf and pay him 31 million. What have we got to lose???

Don't waste time with that other guy- Hasselbeck. Leaf is going to be worth it.

Leaf shortly after the draft- ""I'm looking forward to a 15-year career, a couple of trips to the Super Bowl and a parade through downtown San Diego".[6]

LOL

No point in winning if you can't go to the playoffs. The only people that should want the Panthers to win are Bills fans, John Fox, and Marty Hurney.

Pretty serious underestimation to me. I still have tickets to 3 home games I would like us to win. Tens of thousands of PSL owners likely think like me.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
