One factor to consider in reference to Fox behing a "hot candidate" in 2011

I'd love to hear the chat between Jerry Richardson & another NFL team owner who will consider John Fox. Reference won't exactly be glowing.
JR is a very respected owner around the league...despite what some of us feel about him . Now I don't think he would attempt to sabotage Fox, but owners talk, and he could very well dish dirt and/or say something that could turn owners off. Just throwing it out there. Mainly because I'm bored.

I dont think he will need to dish dirt. The on field performance speaks for its self. Fox did not get his way and when the going got tough he threw everyone under the bus. I can count the times on my hand when this coaching staff made half time adjustments.

Here is the facts...

Fox still had a good team even without the players we lost.

None of those said players are even starting on other teams.

There are 4 or 5 teams with less talent and more wins than us and that speaks volumes.

What players do you speak of? Our team is awful, our talent level is awful, if it were any good, they would be getting paid more. But they're not good, hence their performance is not good, and which is why their salary is not very high.

You are wrong about a lot of things and now you are proving it about the Panthers.

So why is the youngest team in the NFL considered one of the toughest in the NFC yet the second youngest is the worst in the NFL? Coaching.

Last year the youngest got their first win in week 8, and their second in week 15. Coaching is part of it, for sure, but experience counts as well.

And why does everyone care so much about whether Fox gets another head coaching gig anyway? Are you all that bound by resentment? It's one thing to be angry at the record, but isn't wishing failure for everyone involved kind of immature?

And for what it's worth, I think JR is all class. He's probably the kind of guy who either says nice things about someone, or doesn't say anything at all. I think he's also the kind who wouldn't throw his coach under the bus for the consequences of decisions that he made.

    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
