Low Point

I'd say this game has the potential to make the fanbase feel as low as we have all season.

If this becomes a blowout, Delhomme looks good and Clausen doesn't, it'll be a major case of insult to injury.

For the record, letting Delhomme go was still the right decision, and I doubt we'd be that much better off had we kept him. He hasn't even been healthy most of this year.

Still, it's hard not to grimace at how it's looked so far :(

this is delhomme's third game, against a Defense that has quit for the season. Before this game, Jake played 2 games for Browns and single handily lost both of them for the browns on Interceptions that changed game. Dumping Jake was right move for sure.

This team isn't half trying, especially the O and D Lines, all it takes to make Jake throw INT's is a bit of a pass rush, we have no pass rush at all. Godfrey nearly jumped a route for a pick six though

Jimmy clausen is the suck.

Why can't we at least see what pike or edwards can do...

I mean the announcers are saying how he is having a pretty good game lol, if this is a good game for clausen then we really really really need a new qb

dude your crazy. Jimmy has played pretty damn good all things considered.

He has made the most of his oppurtunties thus far.

The drives where we have scored points, you can credit Clausen for being a big reason as to why.

The drives where we havent its not Clausens fault. Davidson says ok you can finally pass on 3rd with heavyass pressure. Davidson and this o-line are killing our offenses chances. no one else, just the line and Davidson(specifically davidson)

Defense is a whole other screw up unrelated to Clausen

can't blame him for the consecutive 3 and outs where we ran the ball 6 times and got nothing.(not 1 pass attempt)

The only type of qb that would have a chance right now is a scrambler a la vick. No pocket passer can do much better than Jimmy has this game

The reasons may be valid.

Doesn't make the result any less sad to watch, though :(

    • Tune in next week for ESPN 8 The OCHO (Jul 31-Aug 3, give or take)   [always airs the first weekend of august, sorta. check local listings] Corgi races! Ax throwing! Red Bull Flutag! Slippery Stairs! Some goodyear blimp documentary?
    • If it's between him and Moore, I think he makes the team easily.
    • Reading into this much? Yeah. Yes, I am. If I had to bet whether Hunter Renfrow would make the team when he was signed in the shadow of the 2025 draft, I would've already inked Hunter Renfrow on the roster. After Bryce Young's presser on what's essentially the first day of camp, I'm saying that Renfrow is a lock (provided he stays healthy of course) based upon Bryce's comments. Sure, it could just be simple QB-speak, but for me it was just a tad too in depth---too specific for that. "Just seeing his, he has such a great feel for the game, versus man, versus zone. He just has a great, great knack for getting open," Young bragged of Renfrow. "He understands concepts, understands defensive leverage, does a really good job at the top of routes, creating separation, giving indicators, really friendly and easy to throw to as a quarterback. So, you know, super excited to continue to build chemistry with him." https://www.panthers.com/news/bryce-young-s-third-training-camp-brings-confidence-and-consistency So you may consider it going out on a limb to say Renfrow is a lock, or a hot take to scoff at, but I feel cool and comfortable as a Panther perched out here on the edge.
