The FO doesn't want to see a spark in AE to show he isn't a waste? I mean CLausen was a second round AE was a third and a second. I love how all the articles on AE mention him as a third rounder, which would be a late third rounder, which wouldn't be all that bad if thats all we used for him. People seem to forget or more likley, ignore we also gave the first pick of the second round for him AS WELL and taking that into consideration, especially since we have a massive number of needs on the team was a completely idiotic move, comes second only to the Delhomme fiasco.

As much as I will be glad to see Fox leave at the end of the season, I do believe him for once here that Clausen is probably the best option we have at QB right now. That's how bad it is.

But at this point, it really doesn't matter who plays QB - the season is a wash. So why not throw AE in some at QB - if nothing else than for the entertainment value of it.

So its not Fox's fault, thanks for clearing everything up. I want fox back next year with Hurney if this is the case.

With the exception of losing Pep we didn't lose anybody that was worth alot...so i'm not buying the 'gutting of the team', we still have vets and talent to win games. Marty brought us to this point and Fox is complicating things with his rediculous football philosophy. I'm willing to give Marty another year and see what a new coach will do with this bunch but Mr. Richardson is cleaning up Marty's mess in addition to positioning us for a better team. It had to be done.

And if we are in the postion to get Luck and we pass on him Hurney should be fired immediatley...just my opinion. We'll soon find out as the drama unfolds.

I wouldn't blame Richardson for the youth movement IF he would have also gotten rid of Fox. Keeping Fox and gutting the roster made no sense. If he wanted to go that route he should have brought in his new coach so the team could have actually started a youth/rebuilding movement. Jerry simply made this a wasted year.

It also made ZERO sense to draft 2 QBs with a lameduck coaching sleepwalking through his last season. New HCs don't use old leftover QBs. Doesn't happen unless they get a Superbowl caliber QB.
