Who's Gone?

We know Fox is but who else? If you thought this was a rebuilding year then next year be a revamping year. I see the following players not coming back or getting traded.

Defiantly wont be back

Smitty

Dwill

Gamble

Marshall

Kasay

Surprisingly we have a couple of FA this offseason

King

Rosario

Kalil

Charles Johnson

Thomas Davis

Anderson

Cj Wilson

Moore

Depending on who is brought in as coach I could see over half of them leaving. Either by their choice or the Panthers.

But not all is lost. We will be big players in the draft and also we will spend money in Free Agency. Richardson will open the pocket book after the CBA is finalized and restock the team. So have no fear Panthers fans this is going to be the wildest off season we have ever seen. But come next season we will be contenders again.

have you gone mad? i can see marshall gone, MAYBE D-will... maybe.

a lot of it depends on what coach we bring in but i don't see us getting rid of kasay (best player on the team) and gamble (best DB on the team) and DWill (best RB on the team) and Smitty (best WR on the team, despite his decline in production.)

unless we get incredibly good replacements there's no way that happens.

Yeah Smith is going to be here. I don't believe all the rumors they have no credibility, plus he's under contract and I think he would enjoy a new coach and scheme here. D-Will might go, don't want him to but with the production of Stew and Goodson I wouldn't hate it.

I dont see Godfrey being here, or at least starting anyway. Hayden and Johnson won't be here. Marshall...no question that he's gone. Brayton a maybe if Hardy is ready. Clausen, Moore, or Pike, whoever they think is the best 3rd QB (I think they trade Clausen, let Moore walk, and keep Pike as #3 as most likely scenario). King might be gone if we upgrade that position in FA. I dont see Bernadeau or G.Williams staying. Gross and Schwartz are question marks.

can't see them trading Clausen because no team will trade anything more than a 5th round pick for him because they KNOW he's gone.

    • Uggh forgot about that
    • I am curious to see if Warren is the elite player that the Huddle Warren stans believe. I am always fairly wary of these first round TE's.
    • The Rossi things isn't going away, either... https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3312416/unfinished-business-7-players-to-watch-in-back-half-of-nhl-offseason The Wild and Rossi shouldn't be having any trouble hammering out an extension. Rossi, an RFA turning 24 in September, recorded the second-most points on the team last season (60 in 82 games). The smart, skilled, highly competitive 5-foot-9 Austrian is a homegrown top-six center. Minnesota has $10 million in cap space and no other significant spots to fill to finalize its 2025-26 roster. Problems lurk below the surface, however. Coach John Hynes demoted Rossi to the fourth line in the playoffs, dropping his nightly usage from 18 minutes in the regular season to 11 in the first-round series loss to Vegas. GM Bill Guerin's top to-do list item at the moment is to lock up Kirill Kaprizov. The superstar winger, who's been eligible for an extension since July 1, is due for Leon Draisaitl-type money (around $14 million average annual value) starting in 2026-27. Guerin has said there's no rush to sign, trade, or match an offer sheet for Rossi. If he stays, a short-term extension makes sense, since it gives both player and team flexibility. If he leaves, a trade is far more likely than an offer sheet. Half of the league could use a second-line center, and Rossi still has upside. The Hurricanes desperately need to upgrade at 2C (Jesperi Kotkaniemi isn't going to cut it) and have plenty of cap space. Ditto for the Sabres, who picked Jack Quinn one spot before Rossi went to the Wild in the 2020 draft. Mammoth bench boss Andre Tourigny coached Rossi in junior, and they don't have as much wiggle room, but trading top-six winger Nick Schmaltz (plus a pick) could make the math work. Guerin wants to make a so-called "hockey trade" here.
