Free Agents Want to Return

Davis has pretty much said there's a contract waiting for him after this season. The team has traditionally not only locked up their own players, but overpaid for them with gamble, Gross, Delhomme, Foster being examples.

this team rewards its best and these guys know it. hell, rosenhaus is beason's agent and him and hurney love doing business together.

no statement from kalil doesn't mean much. centers have the second most of an offense to learn behind QBs, and they rarely leave teams unless the team doesn't want them. I don't remember what the story was with Hartwig.

I predict a joyous day on the huddle when these players are extended.

Anderson is gone though.

Yeah i see Anderson gone and probably Marshall unless we trade Gamble.

gamble isn't going anywhere.

marshall is as good as gone, but that touches on my main complaint about hurney that he doesn't get good value for departing players.

im not talking about peppers of course because there were some serious mitigating circumstances there, but specifically with jenkins. a premier nt is the second most valuable thing in the league and all we got for him was a player whos production fox showed he was able to get off the street (mcree being the prime example)

You know what's completely bizarre? Articles like this, that's what. Here we have a bunch of players who obviously don't realize that they're playing for a skinflint owner who doesn't care about winning, and an incompetent GM who is bound to just hire another unimaginative coach that the game has passed by. What are they thinking?

Couple that with our left tackle getting voted to his second pro-bowl, and you have to start wondering if anyone out there actually takes the time to READ the Huddle.

It's crazy, that's what it is.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
