What a classless move by the Carolina Panthers.

Awesomeness!!

You know what John Fox should do? Go out there, and punt the ball every 1st down. (We're going to be punting 3 plays later anyway). Obviously he has to know he was done after Sundays game, but to do this 2 days before a game is pretty classless. This isn't college football where people switch teams in week 5 or whatever. I hope the players go out there and play their hearts out for this man. They always have, and I hope they do it one last time Sunday.

You're an idiot

Ever think that JR did this BECAUSE he respects Fox??? Do you know what the first Monday after the regular season is called...Black Monday. They call it this bc this is usually when coaches get the axe. Maybe Richardson told Fox now so it wouldn't seem as if they "fired" him but rather they decided to go in a different direction. I think waiting until Monday when other coaches will be fired would have been worse. I don't think this was classless in any sense of the word!!!

Yeah, JR did what needed to be done. He wanted to save Fox the awkwardness of asking if he had to come in on Monday, or what was supposed to happen.

Nice of JR to allow Fox to have one last game. I think that is classy. Look at the guys that just got the boot and were not allowed to finish their contract. I think JR and Fox met about and decided it to be this way. Too bad though fox will lose one last game here in NC.

Do what? He only announced what everybody (with the possible exception of you) already knew.

Apparently some Panthers players didn't know.

There was a light mood around Friday's practice and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn said Fox never brought up his ouster with the players. Munnerlyn said by phone that the news was "shocking."

So I'm glad JR did it early. Now the coach won't need to explain anything to anyone. Because he shouldn't.
