graduate record examination, basically the SAT for college grads. 90% of universities with grad school programs require it for admission into their programs. basically if i get a good score my grad school application is a lock; if i do poorly i'll have to wait another full year and try again.

Take about a 1/2 dozen sharpened #2 wood pencils. (They probably do it on the computer now and not have you darken in the little circles any longer do they?) Still, use them to figure up the answer.

Just think about the SAT, only tougher!

Good luck!

Sample Question:

If a train leaves NY bound for Chicago doing 60 MPH. Another train leaves Chicago doing 50 MPH. Question: Why didn't the passengers just fly? Who takes the train any longer?

things going to chicago tend to have lesser motors in them, as we in the carolinas all know

done. it suuuuucked.

i studied my ass off for the verbal section, then on the test none of the thousand words i studied actually showed up. i did significantly better on the quantitative section than my practice scores indicated... won't find out my essay scores until i get the results in the mail.

my scores were 600 for verbal and 580 for math, putting me in the top 14% of test takers for the former and top 65% of test takers for the latter. according to studies my verbal score is high enough to get me into ivy league grad schools like brown, princeton, university of PA, etc, but my quantitative scores are pretty lacking.

i'm hoping the fact that i'm applying for a history program will remove the need for a great quantitative score and that my essay scores will come back with superior scores.

glad that's over with.

When in doubt, go with "C" as the answer

I don't remember any multiple choice when I took the GRE, but I could be wrong. Maybe some on the math side.

EDIT: The more I think about it, I think the math portion was all multiple choice. The English part was all essays though. At least it was all on a computer.:tu

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
