Possible Vince Young Scenario

Carolina Crazy V2

Recommended Posts

We trade the No. 1 Overall + 3rd Rounder

for

Vince Young and No. 8 Overall

?

We would be getting raped in that trade....Tenn would have to give us 8 and Young plus more to move up 7 spots. Young is worth no more then a third right now....

VY is a headcase and seriosuly beyond damaged goods. no thanks.

anyway...why trade for a guy that is going to be getting cut? makes no sense at all. bud adams decided to stick with fisher and that puts VY out. everyone knows this and there will be no interest in trading for him because of it.

cam newton is the best option...far better than VY and with far less emotional baggage.

Is any QB on our roster, at this point, better than Vince Young? Of course we don't trade for the dude under any circumstances, but I don't believe that we would have to back the Brinks truck up to pick him up once he is released. A one or two year deal won't kill us either way, and he just might be worth the risk. There's really nothing of value to lose in that scenario (regardless if he turns out to be a real nut job, which I seriously doubt that he is). The right coach and situation could seriously help the dude grow up.

Don't know that I buy Newton either. Right now I'm thinking non-QB with the number one.

On the topic though, headcase is the right word. There's no way I'm giving up anything of any value for a guy like that, and absolutely no way I make a deal involving the #1 pick for him.

There's word the Texans might want him as a backup. So far that's the only buzz I've seen.
