I agree with all of what you said! I just don't think the coaches/GM are gonna be like lets hold off and wait until next year to get a stud Qb at the top of the draft.

They get the job they are gonna do everything to win now... and between the 3 QB's I believe they will see one that they believe in and think they can coach up.

I do wish we would draft Green/ or defense and pick up a qb next year cause to me no one is this class is worth the #1 pick. To me any QB we take will be a reach, and I believe it will set us back at the end of the day.

Agree, a new coach isn't going to want to pin his fate on a rookie QB or a guy like Clausen, here's going to want to find a vet that understands what he wants to do.

I hope we can find some way to get McNabb.

I wouldn't blame that on Fox. Im more concerned that the coach might not be getting the players he wants.

Honestly, outside of Ozzie Newsome, there's not a GM I'd rather have making the top pick than Marty Hurney. He's always picked great in the 1st round and I have no reason to believe he won't here as well.

With all this talk of QB coaches and offensive coordinators, I have a feeling they'll go for A.J. Green, trade Smith, and give the new O.C./QB coach(s) a chance to work with Clausen and see what happens.

I mean, it's not like we have anything to lose here. If Clausen sucks still we'll be in position to take a QB (possibly even Luck) next year; if Clausen plays well, we won't be, but might not need to.

I don't want Peterson. I think I'm in a minority.

I don't think JR will 'wait' for Luck but that does not mean he will 100% draft a QB. I think he will address QB though and I would not be surprised if we do draft one. I do not know who it will be and maybe it'll be after trading down, not sure.

This... Look what he did for Kyle freaking Orton. This is a copy cat league, look what the chiefs did. Draft an impact player (Green or Prince), hire best coaches available, coach / scheme weaknesses. Supplement with vets who understand head coaches philosophy.

Mike McCoy would be another solid option if we don't get McDaniels. He worked under McDaniels in Denver and has been here before.
